Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#15] Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader!Jesus didn't promise us a life without uncertainty. He promised us something better. "I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you." He sent the Spirit of truth to be with us, to guide us, to speak to us, not just once, but always. The question was never whether He is speaking. The question is whether we are listening. Scripture of the Week"He lives with you and will be in you." The Freedom ShiftThe Voice of God... Heard in the Flow of Daily Life I was cruising down the highway to another corporate sales meeting. Living a beautiful life on Cape Cod. Six-figure business. Family growing and thriving. The life of freedom I always desired. And I said out loud to myself in the car. "What is wrong with me? I'm just not happy." The words had barely left my mouth when the radio said: "Not happy? Come to Positive Changes Hypnosis." I nearly drove off the road. It was too specific. Too immediate. Too perfectly timed to be coincidence. I pulled off at the next exit, found a pen and paper, and called. That phone call changed the trajectory of my life. It wasn't the program itself, but what it opened up in my mind. The message that seemingly came out of nowhere was just one of many. Another voice spoke to me during a guided meditation saying "Come back to Jesus." And then a woman being interviewed on the radio describing her own journey said "all roads lead back to Jesus." I joined her spiritual community. During Covid, on a walk listening to a YouTube video, the next video started auto-playing and it was a priest giving a sermon who said: "If you're away from the Church, you are depriving yourself of Jesus in the Eucharist." And those words brought me full circle back to my Catholic roots. A radio ad. A woman's voice mid-sentence. A YouTube video that started playing on its own. Not something I was looking for... or was it? I believe it was God's way of telling me how to come back when I was lost. St. Thomas Aquinas wrote that all of creation makes one big circular movement - from God and back to God. He called it the Great Circle of Being. Exit and Return. Every time I reached a moment of restlessness - that uncomfortable feeling that something needed to change - it turned out to be an Exit ramp to a road leading back to Him. And every Return has been better than what I left. Recently it happened again. I saw a short reel on Facebook and heard a writer say "Newsletters are the fastest way to start a movement." And that is my mission - to facilitate a movement of souls on their way back to Jesus. Heavenly Treasures Weekly was born shortly after and I am excited to invite you to join me on the journey. Here is what I know now that I didn't know on that highway. The restlessness was not a problem to be solved. It was an invitation. "I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you." He may be speaking to you right now - not dramatically, but through something you are reading, hearing or quietly feeling in the car on the way to somewhere you're not sure you want to go anymore. The question is not whether He is speaking. The question is whether you are listening. That is what Heavenly Treasures Weekly is about every Sunday morning. One story. One question. One invitation to pay closer attention to where God is leading you. And if someone came to mind while you were reading this, forward it to them. That is how this community grows - one soul at a time. A Great Question for YouReader, where in your life do you feel that restlessness and quiet sense that something needs to change? What invitation might God be sending you? Wellness WisdomYou don't have ten separate health problems. You have one problem showing up ten different ways. Your brain is supposed to control your blood sugar, your inflammation, your circulation, your hormones, your metabolism, your sleep and your happiness. When it loses that control, these systems don't fail one at a time. They gang up on you. That is why treating symptoms one by one rarely works. You fix the sleep and the weight comes back. You address the inflammation and the energy is still gone. Nothing sticks because nothing is getting to the root. The root is your brain. I first experienced this years ago when I walked into a hypnosis program looking for one thing and came out completely different. By reprogramming my brain I lost weight, stopped drinking alcohol, started strength training and walked into an entirely new chapter of my life purpose. I didn't have ten different problems. I had one. And when that one thing shifted, everything shifted with it. This is exactly what I have been learning through my work as a team member with Simple Smart Science - that brain health is not one category of wellness among many. It is the foundation all the others are built on. When the brain is healthy and regulated, the body follows. If this connects with something you have been experiencing in your own health, I have good news. Simple Smart Science is hosting a free 3-day online event in two weeks that goes deep on exactly this. No cost, no obligation, just my personal invitation for you to get information that could change how you see your health entirely. Reply to this email with the word BRAIN and I will send you the link personally. Prospering with PurposeThere is a word that athletes, artists and musicians use to describe their best moments. Flow. That state where effort becomes effortless. Where you are so aligned with what you are doing that time disappears and the work seems to move through you rather than from you. Researchers who study peak human performance have concluded that flow is the highest form of human experience. Not pleasure. Not success. Flow. What they were describing, without using the language, is what happens when we align our gifts with our purpose. And what blocks flow - that grinding, effortful, joyless striving - is misalignment. Working for money alone. Doing what is expected rather than what we are called to. Building someone else's dream or the one that no longer serves us. I know that feeling. It comes up unexpectedly, like it did for me on that highway between Cape Cod and another corporate meeting that didn't light me up anymore. True prosperity is not a number in a bank account. True prosperity is this... Time with the people you love.
Freedom to learn and experience new things.
Resources to fund a life that is genuinely interesting.
Work that uses your gifts in service of something that matters.
And underneath all of it, peace of mind. The kind that does not depend on the market or the news or whether the meeting went well. That peace, that flow, that alignment - it has a source. The Holy Spirit. Not as a concept but as a living presence that moves like the wind. You don't manufacture the wind. You don't force it. You simply orient the sail correctly and let it carry you. "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit." — John 3:8 This is what I have been discovering in this season of my life. The opportunities that have come, the income that has arrived without chasing, the doors that have opened without forcing - none of it came from striving harder. It came from listening. From staying aligned with the calling. From going with the flow of the Spirit rather than against it. That is prosperity. And it is available to anyone willing to go with the flow and listen to the voice of God. This is Issue #15 of Heavenly Treasures Weekly. Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#18]May 31, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Most of us have a bucket list... Places to go. Things to experience. Moments we don't want to miss. But what if the most important items on your list have nothing to do with any of that? This week, on the feast of the Holy Trinity, I want to talk about posterity. What we leave behind. And what we are still becoming. Scripture of the Week "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another...
Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#17]May 17, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Today is Pentecost Sunday. The descent of the Holy Spirit. The disciples were behind locked doors. Afraid. Uncertain. Not sure what came next. And Jesus walked through the wall. He didn't wait for them to feel ready. He didn't wait for the timing to be perfect. He simply appeared, breathed on them, and said… "As the Father has sent me, so I send you." That is still how He works. Scripture of the Week "As...
