Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#012] Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader!Today is the 3rd Sunday of Easter. I’m reminded of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. They were walking, searching and trying to make sense of everything… not realizing that Jesus was right there with them. Scripture of the Week"Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?" — Luke 24:32 The Freedom Shift"Stop the world… I want to get off." I didn't know it was a Broadway show. I just knew it was the cry of my heart. Because at some point, life can start to feel like it's moving too fast, too loud… and not going as planned. That's exactly where I found myself. So I did something that didn't make much sense on the surface. I stepped away. From my business. From the news. From social media. From living by my calendar. And for the first time in a very long time… I gave myself space to breathe, to think, and just to be. If you were with me last week, you know what that year looked like. Prayer. Scripture. Daily Mass. Walking. Pilgrimage. Stillness. Peace. A full year of coming back to God and letting Him lead. What I didn't know going into this year, was what would come next. I had no plan. No goals. No roadmap. What I had was a willingness to follow wherever the Holy Spirit led… and one clear purpose: Bringing souls back to Jesus. That was it. Nothing more complicated than that. Here's the honest truth about most of my earlier life: I was chasing money. Not in a bad way. It came from good intention. Provide for my family, build security and create a life of freedom to make memories. Money gave me all of that. But somewhere along the way, a quiet question started getting louder: Is this it? I think a lot of people know exactly what I mean. When I slowed down, I started noticing things I hadn't stopped to question before. When did life become so scheduled for everyone? When did rushing become normal? When did we stop having time to sit, think, and enjoy life in the moment? With all of our progress, why does it feel like something important has been lost? We've filled our lives with busyness and noise. And in the process, lost our connection to God. The good news? He's still there, walking with us and inviting us to come back to Him. Now, as I enter the second quarter of 2026, I am amazed at what has unfolded. Heavenly Treasures Weekly came to life. A YouTube channel will be launching soon. Opportunities to speak, to serve, to guide people showed up out of the blue. Even unexpected income has come from sources I never looked for or expected. None of it was forced. None of it came from striving. It came from being open and willing to trust that God had a plan even when I didn't. Here's something I've come to accept — and it takes real courage to say out loud: No one else can tell you your purpose. Not a coach. Not a program. Not even someone who loves you. Purpose is discovered between you and God. It's sacred. I prayed for peace, prosperity, and purpose. Then I let go and trusted Him. What I found wasn't a new master plan. It was peace, prosperity and purpose. And optimism for the future instead of worry. I believe this is bigger than just my story. As Bishop Robert Barron has said: "We are in unprecedented times and are in great need of a surge of holy men and women who can proclaim Christ as Lord within the culture." You might be one of those people. I believe you are. A Great Question for YouReader, what part of your life is quietly asking you to slow down and listen more closely to where God may be leading you next? Wellness WisdomOne of the most overlooked aspects of health is purpose, not just what we do, but why we do it. In the brain health work I'm involved with, purpose is considered one of the core pillars of long-term wellness, and the research backs it up. People with a strong sense of purpose experience lower stress, better sleep, stronger immune function, and less cognitive decline. They even tend to live longer. Here's what I find most interesting... When we feel purposeful, our bodies respond differently at a biological level. Stress hormones like cortisol decrease. Feel-good chemicals like endorphins and dopamine increase. We don't just feel better emotionally, we actually function better physically. Purpose gives the brain direction, the body energy, and life meaning. Without it, everything feels heavier. With it, even hard things feel worthwhile. So when I talk about slowing down and reconnecting with what truly matters, that isn't just a spiritual conversation. It's a decision for the health and well-being of your body. Prospering with PurposeFor a long time I believed prosperity was something you build through effort, strategy, and hard work. And while those things have their place, I've come to see something deeper. In the book, The Sermon on the Mount, Emmet Fox teaches that prosperity is a divine right and a natural outcome of spiritual consciousness, not just material accumulation. Purpose opens the door to prosperity by aligning our consciousness with what God is calling us to do. When we make this shift, decisions become clearer. We stop chasing things that were never meant for us. We become open to opportunities we couldn't have planned or manufactured. And provision follows, not always in the way we expect, but in the way we need. When I stopped striving and started listening, that's exactly what happened. Opportunities came without forcing them. Income continued without chasing it. Ideas flowed with a clarity and ease I hadn't felt in years. Life started to feel different, the world started to look different and I am now "on top of the world" instead of spinning within it. It doesn't mean I have to stop working. It means I stop pushing and allow abundance to flow to me. As Scripture reminds us, "You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever." - Psalm 16:11 That path includes peace, purpose, and yes, prosperity too. Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#18]May 31, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Most of us have a bucket list... Places to go. Things to experience. Moments we don't want to miss. But what if the most important items on your list have nothing to do with any of that? This week, on the feast of the Holy Trinity, I want to talk about posterity. What we leave behind. And what we are still becoming. Scripture of the Week "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another...
Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#17]May 17, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Today is Pentecost Sunday. The descent of the Holy Spirit. The disciples were behind locked doors. Afraid. Uncertain. Not sure what came next. And Jesus walked through the wall. He didn't wait for them to feel ready. He didn't wait for the timing to be perfect. He simply appeared, breathed on them, and said… "As the Father has sent me, so I send you." That is still how He works. Scripture of the Week "As...
Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#16]May 17, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Prosperity is not something we build and hold onto. It is something we discover, often on the road, often in the leaving, often in the places we least expect to find it. God did not promise us a life without transitions. He promised us treasure. And the hunt, it turns out, never ends. Scripture of the Week "You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence." — Psalm 16:11 The Freedom Shift...
