Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#009] Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! This week, I’ve been reflecting on what it really means to choose a different path, especially after seasons of confusion, resistance and exhaustion. If you feel like you’re standing at a crossroads in your own life…you’re not alone. Scripture of the Week“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. The Freedom ShiftEverything happens for a reason. Usually, it’s when we’re forced into a major life shift. The path we’re on becomes too heavy, too hard, or just unsustainable. And even then… choosing a new path isn’t easy. There’s something about change that feels risky, even when what’s familiar is wearing us down. When the world shut down in 2020, it was a rude awakening. Whatever we thought we knew about the world began to unravel. Trust was shaken. Many of us were pulled into a conflict we didn’t create, but were forced to choose a side. I felt it deeply. I resisted everything; the government, the institutions, the systems I had trusted for so long. Watching the elderly and the sick be separated from their loved ones didn’t sit right with me. It felt heavy. And over time, something else became clear. It is exhausting to live in a constant state of resistance. Fighting is exhausting. It took me a few years to see what I couldn’t see at the time: I was on the wrong path. I needed to make a different choice and shift my focus away from the darkness, the division, and the disruption around me. It finally became clear that the world hadn’t suddenly changed, nor had human nature. It has always been a battleground between good and evil. And once I saw that clearly on the outside, I knew I had to make a different decision on the inside…to step out of the darkness and walk into the light. I devoted a full year to deepening my relationship with Jesus. Sometimes a new path requires a season of training. Time to rest. Time to reflect. Time to reset. Last year was that season for me. I called 2025 my Jubilee year. A year of celebration, sabbatical and pilgrimage. I devoted my mornings to prayer, Scripture, and journaling. Most importantly, I stepped away from the noise, the news, the politics, even my business. And something in me was restored. My joy. Now, as 2026 is unfolding, I’m moving forward in a completely different way. For most of my life, I built businesses around goals, growth, and income. Now I’m building something rooted in peace, prosperity, and purpose. I’m focused on my calling, to serve others, to grow as a spiritual director, and to create a lasting legacy. That’s how Heavenly Treasures Weekly was born. At its core, it’s simple: Write one newsletter each week. Share it. Stay rooted in faith. And build a community of faith-based wellness leaders who care about the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. But there’s also a practical side to this. Because I am still a businesswoman at heart, I’m building this in a way that can be duplicated. It’s a way to create a livelihood and a legacy, simply by sharing stories that serve others and helping them find their own right path to peace, prosperity and purpose. A simple newsletter. A few trusted partners. A willingness to share. That’s it. It's a Simple Path to Prosperity One that begins with faith, honors peace, and allows people to prosper with purpose. I don’t have it all figured out yet. I’m letting it unfold, one week and one story at a time. Right now I’m building the platform, growing the community, and exploring what’s possible when faith-based wellness leaders come together to serve others. If you feel like you’re standing at your own crossroads, you already know this: Nothing changes until you choose a new path. And if you’re someone who feels called to serve, to lead with faith, to care for others in a deeper, more holistic way, and to build something meaningful that lasts, this may be your path too. I invite you to walk with us. Because, if everything really does happen for a reason, this may be calling you to choose a different path. A Great Question for YouReader, if nothing changes until you choose…what might you already know it’s time to choose? Wellness WisdomCalming the Body in a World That Feels Out of ControlWhen we live in a constant state of resistance, Stress becomes our baseline. I didn’t fully understand this until my Jubilee year. When I stepped away from the noise, something unexpected happened: My body began to settle. Not all at once… but slowly. Through simple things:
These weren’t dramatic changes. But they were consistent. And over time, they created space for healing. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or constantly “on edge”…it may not be something you need to fix. It may simply be your body asking for a different rhythm. (And if you ever feel called to go deeper in restoring your health—especially brain health and inflammation—I’m happy to share what I’ve been exploring.) Prospering with Purpose“Thy Kingdom Come…” — A Different Way to Prosper“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” For most of my life, I thought prosperity meant building something, growing something, achieving something. And in many ways, it did. But it also came with striving. What I’m beginning to understand now is something much simpler and much deeper. True prosperity begins with alignment. “Thy kingdom come” isn’t just a prayer. It’s a way of living. It means:
When we shift from striving… to trust Something begins to change. Not just within us, but all around us. In Sermon on the Mount, written by Emmet Fox, he reminds us that “there is a true place in life for each one of us, upon the attainment of which we shall be completely happy and perfectly secure…until we find our true place, we never shall be either happy or secure, no matter what things we have.” He goes on to say; “Our true place is the one place where we can bring the Kingdom of God into manifestation, and truly say, ‘thy kingdom come’.” This is what we’re exploring through Heavenly Treasures Weekly. Not building through force, but allowing ourselves to live in the Kingdom of God through prayer, discernment and manifestation. And yes, you can attain peace, prosperity and purpose here in this world. May the Peace of Christ be with you, If something here stayed with you, feel free to reply. I’d love to hear from you. |
I share stories from my own journey, including the unexpected path that led me back to my Christian roots, and invite others to rely on Jesus for a deeper sense of peace, prosperity, and purpose.

But what if the most important items on your list have nothing to do with any of that? This week, on the feast of the Holy Trinity, I want to talk about posterity. What we leave behind. And what we are still becoming. Scripture of the Week "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another...
Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#17]May 17, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Today is Pentecost Sunday. The descent of the Holy Spirit. The disciples were behind locked doors. Afraid. Uncertain. Not sure what came next. And Jesus walked through the wall. He didn't wait for them to feel ready. He didn't wait for the timing to be perfect. He simply appeared, breathed on them, and said… "As the Father has sent me, so I send you." That is still how He works. Scripture of the Week "As...
Heavenly Treasures Weekly [#16]May 17, 2026 Read Time: ~5 minutes Happy Sunday, Reader! Prosperity is not something we build and hold onto. It is something we discover, often on the road, often in the leaving, often in the places we least expect to find it. God did not promise us a life without transitions. He promised us treasure. And the hunt, it turns out, never ends. Scripture of the Week "You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence." — Psalm 16:11 The Freedom Shift...
